Merit adds new PFAS Instrumentation, Increasing Sample Capacity

As an industry leader in PFAS testing, Merit Laboratories is pleased to announce that it has purchased additional PFAS analytical testing instrumentation. The instrumentation addition will increase Merit’s PFAS testing sample capacity. Merit added the Agilent 6495B Triple Quadrupole LC/MS to its instrumentation roster because of recent technical advances.

Technical features and benefits of the Agilent 6495B Triple Quadrupole LC/MS include:

  • Increased sensitivity using iFunnel technology

  • Enhanced assay performance using efficient ion sampling and transmission

  • Enhanced ion optic lenses for reliable and robust performance

  • Efficient ion detection and quantification using high-energy conversion dynode and low-noise characteristics

  • Gate valve technology to perform ion source maintenance without instrument venting

Merit is Michigan’s PFAS environmental laboratory, analyzing wastewater, groundwater, drinking water, and other sample matrices at our laboratory in East Lansing, Michigan.  Merit is certified for the analysis of PFAS by ISO/IEC 17025. Analytical method certification for PFAS includes drinking water by EPA 537 rev. 1.1 and wastewater | groundwater | surface water by ASTM D7979 with Isotopic Dilution.
